*238 Convertibles qualified for sale initially; 5 were added later including 4 from the electric car program.

Reatta was positioned as a luxury two-place car with a combination of sporty and aerodynamic styling, nimble handling and a comfortable and quiet "Buick ride". The 3800 V-6 with the four-speed automatic transmission was the only powertrain offered.

The only extra cost options were a power sunroof, 16 way adjustable driver’s seat and a CD player (in 1990 and 1991 models only)

The the radio was standard with the touch screen. UX1 was a cassette tape unit which was installed remotely in the IP.

Note: for 1990 the 1989 Riviera type instrument panel was used in the Reatta which eliminated the touch screen.
